Hell Week

I thought the only hell week I would ever have to experience was my first week of high school, how naive of me. Nope, instead of one hell week, I get to experience two. This one being the Keto Flu. Yes friends, the Keto Flu is definitely a real thing. Everyone experiences it differently, but let me tell you, if you are like me and have a very HIGH carb diet going into this lifestyle, it's going to hit you like a ton of bricks. It took one single day for mine to kick in. That's right, one day of no carbs and my body was screaming at me saying " what the actual fuck ". Keto on a Student Budget

As I mentioned in my last post, I started my lifestyle change by counting calories. It went well for about 3 days, until my boyfriend and I decided to go out for an early Valentine's Day lunch to a restaurant that we love in my home town. Let's just say I immediately started tearing up out of frustration because anything I would have ordered would have most likely put me over my calorie count for the day, not to mention when we asked if they had any nutritional information they said "no, but the salad is probably good for you", thank you for that one. Sweet, one whole meal to last me the next like, 18 hours. This is not an easy task when your fat and addicted to food. Let's just say it was the worst food experience of my life and I caved and got a panzarotti. Not the most healthy choice when you're counting calories. When I got home that afternoon it was like my mother and I were on the same wave length, like supernatural shit happening, because she had bought...

My plan is to use this blog as a platform to talk about what it is I am doing, maybe some recipes that I really enjoyed and worked for me, and a place to vent my frustrations on the days that I just don't want to continue. Although my overall theme is my new journey through life, there will be times that I stray away and just want to talk about something new, I hope that you don't mind, and if you ...
